I had to take off work today to go in for my rabies shot that the Red Cross couldn't offer me yesterday. Long story short, I waited from 8:30 to 11:30 to be told I had to wait another hour to see a different doctor that specialized in dog bites. They have a program and team assigned to dog attacks where they go to the site and monitor the dog for signs of rabies for 10 days in order to avoid giving patients a series of painful shots for no reason. So no shot, but some antibiotics that make me sick to my stomach and some pain killers for the bruises. And all free :-) so I called in sick to both jobs and spent my day partly wanting to cry, laugh, and vomit and got literally no work done for my classes tomorrow. I was told I could take the day from the Uni tomorrow if I need it but that would mean getting behind in an already shortened semester and I'm not sure it'd be worth it.
Took advantage of my free time and made a dentists appt. No cavities! She checked out my "tooth" and was baffled when it didn't show up on the x-ray ( she processed it right there in her sink). No extra tooth, but she did confirm I have bone coming out of my palette where it shouldn't be and the dark area on the X-ray where above my teeth is a pocket of very not dense stuff, aka liquid. She said if my mouth doesn't taste bad it's not an infection, but have me a rinse just in case. Said its probably some tooth fragments from before finally being rejected and pushed out. She could dig em out but said there's no reason if I'm not in pain. Also I'm going to get my teeth whitened so she took a mold for that (all my coffee drinking has done some damage) and that'll be ready on Saturday. It's the tray kind so my teeth won't get all sensitive like in laser treatment. We'll see how that goes.
Now back to work! Chula says hi!
